Recipe Check is provided by Bluegrass Media Inc. Recipe Check provides general nutrition guidance for informational purposes by reviewing recipe text, ingredient lists, menu descriptions, recipe links, goals, food history, and recipe or ingredient photos submitted by users.

Information We Collect Or Expect To Collect

• Account information, email address, and login provider identifiers for signed-in users.
• Recipe text, ingredient text, typed recipes or meals, recipe links, uploaded recipe photos, uploaded ingredient label photos, goals, and food history.
• Subscription or purchase status if paid tiers are enabled.
• Analytics, diagnostics, crash logs, device type, operating system, app version, and basic usage events.
• Advertising identifiers, ad events, approximate location, diagnostics, and usage signals for Google AdMob ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, and reporting.

How Information Is Used

• To generate A through F recipe grades, explanations, better swaps, and protein recommendations.
• To save recent history and support future Pro insights and personalized recommendations when those features are enabled.
• To troubleshoot support requests, improve app quality, and maintain account security.
• To manage subscription access if enabled later, ad settings, analytics, and app reliability.

Third-Party Vendors And AI Processing

Recipe text, ingredient text, food history, goals, and images may be processed through Recipe Check's backend and third-party AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic to generate app results. Vendor categories may include hosting and backend infrastructure, AI providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, crash reporting tools, Apple and Google payment services if subscriptions are enabled later, and Google AdMob for ads. These vendors may process limited data needed to provide their services. Do not upload private, sensitive, or unrelated personal information in recipe images.

Ads And Tracking

The free launch build may show Google AdMob banner ads using non-personalized ad requests where possible. Google may still process mobile ad identifiers or similar signals for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and ad delivery. Recipe Check does not target ads based on health goals. If personalized tracking across apps or websites is introduced on iOS, Recipe Check will request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt where required.

Security Practices

Recipe Check is designed to use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards for user data, including limiting vendor access, keeping API keys off client devices, using secure transport where supported, and reviewing vendors before sensitive data is shared. No app or online service can guarantee perfect security.

Health Data, HIPAA, And Breach Response

Recipe Check is not intended for use by healthcare providers, health plans, healthcare clearinghouses, or their business associates, and it does not claim to be HIPAA compliant. If a security incident affects user data, Recipe Check will investigate, take reasonable steps to protect users, and provide notices required by applicable law.

Retention And Deletion

Local history may remain on the device until the app is uninstalled or app storage is cleared. Account data and food history are retained while the account is active unless a user requests deletion or a longer retention period is legally required. Users can request deletion in the app or through the public Delete Account page. Deletion requests are expected to be completed within 30 days unless legal, payment, fraud-prevention, or security obligations require longer retention.
